Advance Paris UX-1 Network Player/DAC/CD Player

The UX1 is a truly universal source component—at once a network player, DAC, CD player, asynchronous USB-B X-MOS interface for PC/Mac, and DAB/DAB+/FM digital tuner. Wherever your music lives—computer, smartphone, tablet, NAS, network drive, or CD—the UX1 delivers it with exceptional fidelity.

Guided by a “limitless” design philosophy, our engineers integrated only the finest technologies, with one non-negotiable requirement: reproduce music with pure, effortless, and non-fatiguing clarity. Particular care was given to the audio output stage and digital decoding.

At the heart of the UX1 is AKM’s renowned AK4490 DAC, a new-generation 32-bit converter built on the company’s VELVET SOUND architecture—favored by many of the world’s leading high-end audio manufacturers. Its low-distortion design and advanced 32-bit digital filtering deliver remarkable detail and natural musicality. The AK4490 supports PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD 11.2 MHz, with five selectable digital filters to tailor reproduction. Ideally suited for high-resolution content, it works in perfect synergy with our precision-engineered audio stage.
With distortion at just –112 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 120 dB, this DAC dramatically elevates every listening session.

The UX1’s network player supports major streaming services (Spotify, Qobuz, and more), thousands of local and global radio stations, and playback of music stored on computers or networked drives. It is AirPlay and DLNA compatible, and can be fully controlled via our ADVANCE PLAYSTREAM app for iOS and Android.

Its built-in CD player features the latest Tamul servo technology for stable, high-quality playback, combining a 16-bit processor with a 24-bit DSP. It supports CD, CD-R/RW, and CD-DA (MP3/WMA).

A 32-bit / 8-core asynchronous USB-B X-MOS input allows direct PC/Mac connection and playback of all file types, including DSD.

As a full-featured DAC, the UX1 includes 3 optical and 2 coaxial digital inputs, along with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs, plus optical and coaxial digital outputs.

For wireless connectivity, the unit incorporates a BDD (Bluetooth Direct Digital) port for our optional X-FTB01 Bluetooth receiver, supporting aptX for CD-quality transmission.
